Soulless Mediaproductions for children?
A Teachercandidate once told me that the most powerfull books are children's litterature.
Why?
These growing young minds are like clay - you are able to model them into great thinkers, great revolutionists and great doctors. You pack these minds with moral principles and with information.
I do believe I agree with her, with the addition of placing this theory on the entire media for children and the subraction of the upbringing factor.
This meaning that soulless, thoughtless productions for children can change the society.
Economicly:
Studies show that children along with young females are the most powerful consumers group.
When it comes to merchaindaise
an example: children will more likely pick the cereal with their favorite character rather then the cheap, healty brand.
Socially: Adults are a result of their childhood experiences.
With stories,movie,games,shows that teach the children to care for eachother, share, play fair and so and and so forth. We educate the children in moral questions in a way that they can understand.
In conclusion I would like to say:
Parents: Make sure your kids don't watch meaningless shows, movies and or read books and play games that are morally wrong or just pointless in the sense that they are made completely without a thought behind it.
Mediaproducers: Do not allow the idiotic nonsense poison young childrens minds. Make sure the moral- if there one- that it is realistic and true. And make sure the production is not only about making money, since these productions are more likely to break the first request.
